PERSIMMON FRUIT EXTRACT – perFix™

perFix™ is a persimmon fruit extract (Diospyros kaki L.f.) standardized to condensed tannins (≥5% by HPLC). It is part of Euromed’s Mediterranean Fruit & Vegetable Extracts and is produced from locally grown persimmons in Southern Spain using the Pure-Hydro® Process, a purified-water extraction technology that preserves the natural profile of persimmon bioactives.

Research indicates that perFix™ can support weight-management efforts by helping maintain a more balanced body composition, encouraging fat reduction while helping preserve muscle mass. It also contributes antioxidant properties and may support aspects of overall well-being.

A 120-day randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in healthy adults found that 400 mg/day of perFix™, together with normal lifestyle habits, was associated with:

 Reductions in body fat, while lean mass was maintained
 Decreases in waist, abdominal and hip circumferences
 Improved antioxidant capacity
 Favourable changes in TNF-α
 Early improvements in emotional well-being and mental health scores
 Increased fecal fat excretion in certain individuals, suggesting a role in lipid metabolism
