Pomanox® Pomegranate Extract Supports Healthy Ageing
October 2025 – A new clinical study published in Nutrients reveals that Pomanox®, Euromed’s patented pomegranate extract, may help support healthy longevity by increasing levels of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) in older adults. IGF-1 plays a vital role in cell growth and repair but naturally declines with age.
In a 12-week double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 72 participants aged 55–70, daily supplementation with 740mg of Pomanox® led to a statistically significant rise in circulating IGF-1 levels, while the placebo group showed no change. Pomanox® is standardised to 30% punicalagins, powerful polyphenols found in pomegranates, and is suitable for cardiovascular, cognitive, metabolic, skin and healthy-ageing applications, all supported by published studies.

Although telomere length was not affected during the 12-week study, researchers note that
this biomarker typically changes over longer periods. Still, the study provides valuable insights into how polyphenol-rich supplements like Pomanox® may positively influence multiple hallmarks of ageing.
